Chong Ri Jia (Le Jia)

Chief Executive Officer 

Le Jia is the Chief Executive Officer of FoodPlant, bringing over 15 years of experience in growing, operating, and transforming food businesses. She previously served as Head of Business Management for Food Services at FairPrice Group, where she managed a multi-brand portfolio with eight-figure annual revenue, led store network expansion, launched new concepts, and oversaw the group’s first international F&B franchise. Her work included driving operational transformation through automation, digitalisation, and process redesign.

Earlier, as Special Projects Senior Manager at SGX-listed RE&S Holdings Ltd, Le Jia spearheaded franchising, branding, and corporate development initiatives, including the company’s IPO, and developed infrastructure such as a food quality assurance laboratory. She began her career at SPRING Singapore, advising over 25 high-growth F&B enterprises on capability development, generating more than S$200 million in value-add for the economy.

Le Jia holds a degree in Food Science and Technology from the National University of Singapore.

Dr Lim Bee Gim

Technical Advisor, FoodPlant
Associate Professor, Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)

Dr. Lim Bee Gim brings nearly 30 years of experience in food innovation, manufacturing, and education. She was the Founding CEO of FoodPlant, where she led the establishment of Singapore’s first shared food processing facility. Under her leadership, FoodPlant became a strategic platform supporting companies—from startups to established manufacturers—in developing and scaling sustainable food solutions, including alternative proteins.

Currently serving as Technical Advisor at FoodPlant, Dr. Lim provides expert guidance in food processing, product innovation, and commercialization. She is also an Associate Professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology, where she mentors future food technologists and actively designs and delivers industry training courses to upskill professionals in advanced processing technologies such as extrusion and thermal processing.

Her work focuses on bridging research with practice, enabling companies to accelerate sustainable product development through access to shared infrastructure, technical expertise, and hands-on capability building.

Fiona Lee

Head of Operations 

Fiona Lee, Deputy Head of FoodPlant, brings nearly three decades of expertise in Quality Assurance, food manufacturing and research and development (R&D). At FoodPlant, she leads the food safety management programme, ensuring the facility’s compliance to applicable statutory and regulatory requirements as well as conformity to agreed client requirements.

She also leads food safety risk assessments with customers, identifying suitable control measures to ensure compliance of end products to food safety requirements. Fiona serves as a senior consultant, sharing her extensive knowledge in production and quality control processes with industry partners.

Her rich background includes pivotal roles at F&N Interflavine and Nestlé, where she spearheaded numerous process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and implementation of food safety and quality procedures.

Fiona's dedication to advancing food safety, coupled with her Master's in Food Biotechnology from the University of Strathclyde, positions her as a leading expert in the field.

Poh Pei Si

Senior Industry Development Manager 

Pei Si brings over 20 years of expertise in food quality assurance, process improvement, and production management to FoodPlant, where she leads client engagement and business development, connecting customer needs with state-of-the-art food innovation facilities.

Pei Si has a strong record in enhancing operational efficiency, implementing food safety and quality systems, and driving innovation across manufacturing and quick-service restaurant sectors. Her experience spans FairPrice Group, QB Food, RE&S, and global QSR brands, such as KFC, Pizza Hut and 7-Eleven.

Passionate about helping SMEs and startups scale innovative food products, Pei Si holds Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and internal auditor certifications. Her collaborative approach and industry expertise make her a key contributor to FoodPlant’s mission of advancing Singapore’s food innovation ecosystem.

Anton Thai

Senior Process Engineer 

Anton Thai, FoodPlant's Senior Process Engineer and Occupational Health and Safety leader, brings over a decade of expertise in end-to-end food manufacturing lines.

With hands-on experience in design, integration, installation, testing, and commissioning, Anton excels in troubleshooting equipment and systems, specialising in spray drying, UHT, and liquid/powder handling.

His in-depth knowledge of standards are evident through his 15 years in industrial engineering and technical sales for food manufacturing and processing equipment. Anton holds certifications in Lean Manufacturing.

Yan Li Hui

Project Manager 

Yan Li Hui is a seasoned professional with over a decade of invaluable experience in food manufacturing. Her expertise in food safety and processing technologies, coupled with her meticulous approach, makes Li Hui an asset in ensuring compliance with stringent industry standards while optimising production processes.

Li Hui's knowledge of microbiology and quality control has been instrumental in driving operational efficiency and maintaining the highest levels of product integrity. As a Project Manager at FoodPlant, Li Hui continues to drive innovation, empowering food entrepreneurs with her technical expertise.

She also co-conducts masterclasses on retort technology and food extrusion, contributing to the upskilling of the food industry. Li Hui's dedication to delivering high-quality results and continuous improvement is reflected in positive feedback and the success of her projects.

Angela Goh

Project Manager 

Angela Goh is a talented Project Manager at FoodPlant, excelling in project planning and management. Her expertise played an important role in setting up the FoodPlant facility and its advanced food processing technologies, and subsequently securing the ISO 22000:2018 & ISO 45000:2018 certifications.

Proactively seeking opportunities to upskill and staying abreast of industry advancements, Angela brings a dynamic approach to technical support and troubleshooting for commercial and R&D projects.

As a distinguished graduate of Food Technology (Honours with Highest Distinction), Angela's academic achievements at Singapore Institute of Technology underscore her commitment to excellence, adding significant value to FoodPlant's initiatives and developments. Angela is also a certified Occupational First Aider.

Michelle Tan

Project Executive 

Michelle Tan, a proficient Senior Project Executive at FoodPlant Pte Ltd, leads production runs and provides technical support for commercial and R&D projects.

With strong communication and relationship-building skills, Michelle establishes rapport with clients, ensuring project deliverables align with their goals and expectations.

Michelle's dedication at FoodPlant is complemented by her prior roles at Cargill Asia Pacific Holdings and SP’s Food Innovation and Resource Centre, where she significantly contributed to ingredient development, physicochemical testing, and process optimisation for diverse food products.

Michelle’s multifaceted expertise underscores her commitment to excellence in the food industry.

Rachel Loh

Project Executive 

Rachel Loh, a dedicated Project Executive at FoodPlant, brings a fresh perspective to the workforce. Drawing from her background in flavour applications at McCormick Ingredients Southeast Asia, Rachel integrates practical knowledge into her role.

Her keen understanding of client needs and expectations has allowed her to effectively tailor project solutions to meet and exceed customer requirements.

Rachel's service-oriented approach has garnered positive feedback from clients, highlighting her commitment to ensuring the success and satisfaction of our clients.

Rachel has been recognised for her excellence with the Lee Foundation Food Technology Scholarship during her tenure at the Singapore Institute of Technology.

Dhivvya Sambantham 

Project Executive 

Dhivvya is a creative and innovative Project Executive at FoodPlant, contributing fresh energy and technical know-how to support food innovation projects. A recent Food Technology graduate from Singapore Institute of Technology, she gained hands-on experience during her internship at FoodPlant, assisting with project coordination, environmental monitoring, and pilot-scale production. Dhivvya’s proactive approach and attention to detail ensure smooth project execution and compliance with quality and safety standards. She is passionate about leveraging technology to help SMEs and startups develop new food products, playing an integral role in advancing Singapore’s food innovation ecosystem.

Angeline Goh

Senior Quality Assurance Executive 

Angeline is a results-driven Food Scientist with a robust background in the food industry. She wears double hats in FoodPlant. As a Business Development Executive at FoodPlant, she actively drives organisational excellence and excels in enhancing customer satisfaction, demonstrating a keen understanding of client needs and expectations.

She was also instrumental in FoodPlant’s ISO 22000:2018 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications. As a Senior Quality Assurance Executive, Angeline focuses on food safety related operations. Previously, at Prima Pte Ltd, she played a key role in product development and quality enhancement, particularly in oriental sauces and ready-to-eat meals.

Angeline’s expertise extends to hands-on experience with retorted products and shelf-life testing, which she demonstrates when she co-conducts masterclasses on retort technology.

Angeline has a Bachelor of Food Technology (Honours) and a Diploma in Food Science and Nutrition.

Lee Mei Leng;

Business Administration Executive 

Mei Leng is the friendly first point of contact for many of FoodPlant’s clients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from enquiry to project delivery. In her role as Business Administration Executive, she keeps operations running seamlessly, supports events and training programmes, and ensures clients receive timely, accurate information. With over a decade of experience in business management and customer relations, Mei Leng is known for her approachable style, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate needs. Her dedication to building positive relationships helps strengthen FoodPlant’s partnerships and contributes to its mission of advancing Singapore’s food innovation ecosystem.
