Dr Lim Bee Gim

Dr. Lim Bee Gim holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Singapore. With nearly three decades of industry experience, she excels in High Moisture Meat Analogue Extrusion, Bio-hydrolysate production, and Lean Manufacturing, alongside Operational Excellence.

Dr. Lim serves as an Associate Professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) and previously held the role of Programme Director for the Bachelor of Food Technology programme. During her remarkable 20-year tenure at Nestlé, Dr. Lim made instrumental contributions at both the R&D Centre and the manufacturing plant, including start up of seasoning line in China, industrialisation of biohydrolysate productions and management of R&D portfolio.

As the CEO of FoodPlant, Dr. Lim spearheads innovation in the industry. Under her leadership, FoodPlant plays a crucial role in assisting food enterprises with developing new products, testing processes, utilising specialised equipment, and scaling up production.

She also leads the team to deliver specialised upskilling courses such as Extrusion Technology and Retort Processing to industry-ready food technologists, with the aim of strengthening the industry’s adoption of advanced food processing technologies.

Fiona Lee

Fiona Lee, Deputy Head of FoodPlant, brings nearly three decades of expertise in Quality Assurance, food manufacturing and research and development (R&D). At FoodPlant, she leads the food safety management programme, ensuring the facility’s compliance to applicable statutory and regulatory requirements as well as conformity to agreed client requirements.

She also leads food safety risk assessments with customers, identifying suitable control measures to ensure compliance of end products to food safety requirements. Fiona serves as a senior consultant, sharing her extensive knowledge in production and quality control processes with industry partners.

Her rich background includes pivotal roles at F&N Interflavine and Nestlé, where she spearheaded numerous process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and implementation of food safety and quality procedures.

Fiona's dedication to advancing food safety, coupled with her Master's in Food Biotechnology from the University of Strathclyde, positions her as a leading expert in the field.

Chong Le Jia

Le Jia has more than 12 years of commercial experience in the food industry and a strong track record of operating and transforming food businesses. In her previous professional role, Le Jia was the Head of Business Management for Food Services at FairPrice Group, overseeing a portfolio of food service brands with 8-figure annual revenue.

With expertise in sales strategy, transformation and operational excellence, Le Jia improved revenue, branding, and productivity. Before that, she was the Special Projects Senior Manager with SGX (Catalist) RE&S Holdings Ltd where she managed capabilities and corporate development initiatives including branding, franchising, jobs grading, and public listing.

She also led the development and growth of the bento concept. Her earlier career was with SPRING Singapore where she account-managed more than 20 high-growth local enterprises in the Food Services industry. Le Jia is an NUS graduate with a major in Food Science and Technology.

Anton Thai

Anton Thai, FoodPlant's Senior Process Engineer and Occupational Health and Safety leader, brings over a decade of expertise in end-to-end food manufacturing lines.

With hands-on experience in design, integration, installation, testing, and commissioning, Anton excels in troubleshooting equipment and systems, specialising in spray drying, UHT, and liquid/powder handling.

His in-depth knowledge of standards are evident through his 15 years in industrial engineering and technical sales for food manufacturing and processing equipment underscore his versatility. Anton holds certifications in Lean Manufacturing.

Ong Wai Peng

Ong Wai Peng is an accomplished Project Executive with a proven track record in the food industry. He played a key role in setting up the FoodPlant facility and its advanced food processing technologies, as well as implementing ISO22000:2018 and ISO45001:2018 standards.

With a focus on R&D and commercialisation, Wai Peng provides crucial support and has taken lead in guiding companies from product development to commercial success, spanning products such as meat analogues, high-protein snacks, and plant-based cheese.

His prior experiences in product development for established convenience stores and supermarkets demonstrate his proficiency in the field. Wai Peng’s mission is to elevate the food industry through innovative technologies, evident through the masterclasses he co-conducts on food extrusion.

Wai Peng’s versatile skill set makes him a valuable asset to any food-related project.

Yan Li Hui

Yan Li Hui is a seasoned professional with over a decade of invaluable experience in food manufacturing. Her expertise in food safety and processing technologies, coupled with her meticulous approach, makes Li Hui an asset in ensuring compliance with stringent industry standards while optimising production processes.

Li Hui's in-depth knowledge of microbiology and quality control has been instrumental in driving operational efficiency and maintaining the highest levels of product integrity. As a Project Executive at FoodPlant, Li Hui continues to drive innovation, empowering food entrepreneurs with her technical prowess.

She also co-conducts masterclasses on retort technology and food extrusion, contributing to the upskilling of the food industry. Li Hui's dedication to delivering high-quality results and continuous improvement is reflected in positive feedback and the success of her projects.

Angela Goh

Angela Goh is a talented Project Executive at FoodPlant, excelling in project planning and management. Her expertise played a pivotal role in setting up the FoodPlant facility and its advanced food processing technologies, and subsequently securing the ISO 22000:2018 & ISO 45000:2018 certifications.

Proactively seeking opportunities to upskill and staying abreast of industry advancements, Angela brings a dynamic approach to technical support and troubleshooting for commercial and R&D projects. Angela also oversees facility management and internal training initiatives.

As a distinguished graduate of Food Technology (Honours with Highest Distinction), Angela's academic achievements at Singapore Institute of Technology underscore her commitment to excellence, adding significant value to FoodPlant's initiatives and developments. Angela is also a certified Occupational First Aider.

Michelle Tan

Michelle Tan, a proficient Project Executive at FoodPlant Pte Ltd, leads production runs and provides technical support for commercial and R&D projects.

With strong communication and relationship-building skills, Michelle establishes rapport with clients, ensuring project deliverables align with their goals and expectations.

Michelle's dedication at FoodPlant is complemented by her prior roles at Cargill Asia Pacific Holdings and SP’s Food Innovation and Resource Centre, where she significantly contributed to ingredient development, physicochemical testing, and process optimisation for diverse food products.

Michelle’s multifaceted expertise underscores her commitment to excellence in the food industry.

Rachel Loh

Rachel Loh, a dedicated Project Executive at FoodPlant, brings a fresh perspective to the workforce. Drawing from her background in flavour applications at McCormick Ingredients Southeast Asia, Rachel integrates practical knowledge into her role.

Her keen understanding of client needs and expectations has allowed her to effectively tailor project solutions to meet and exceed customer requirements.

Rachel's service-oriented approach has garnered positive feedback from clients, highlighting her commitment to ensuring the success and satisfaction of our clients.

Rachel has been recognised for her excellence with the Lee Foundation Food Technology Scholarship during her tenure at the Singapore Institute of Technology.

Ridzwan Bin Ambiyah

Ridzwan, FoodPlant's adept Technical Officer, brings a decade of experience in process plant operation and maintenance.

Certified as a Class 2 boiler attendant and Confined Space Safety Assessor, Ridzwan specialises in preventive maintenance for facility and equipment safety and provides vital support in engineering and calibration activities.

Ridzwan is also a certified Occupational First Aider, underscoring his commitment to safety protocols. His commitment to continuous learning enables him to stay updated with new knowledge, tools, and techniques, and enriches his expertise, ensuring FoodPlant's equipment and facility aligns with the highest industry standards.

Angeline Goh

Angeline is a results-driven Food Scientist with a robust background in the food industry. As a Quality Assurance & Business Development Executive at FoodPlant, she actively drives organisational excellence and excels in enhancing customer satisfaction, demonstrating a keen understanding of client needs and expectations.

She was also instrumental in FoodPlant’s ISO 22000:2018 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications. Angeline focuses on critical operations, specialising in quality control and assurance. Previously, at Prima Pte Ltd, she played a key role in product development and quality enhancement, particularly in oriental sauces and ready-to-eat meals.

Angeline’s expertise extends to hands-on experience with retorted products and shelf-life testing, which she demonstrates when she co-conducts masterclasses on retort technology.

Angeline has a Bachelor of Food Technology (Honours) and a Diploma in Food Science and Nutrition.
